I BELIEVE in the POWER of CONNECTION, COMMUNITY and POSITIVITY!
ABOUT ME
Stephanie's entrance into the veterinary field unfolded serendipitously, originating from her background in education where she devoted herself to teaching sex education, sexual assault prevention, and exploring the transformative potential of theatre and music working with at-risk youth to shift the tides of their lives in a positive direction by engaging in their community. The journey took an unexpected turn when she serendipitously covered a summer break maternity leave at her family veterinarian's practice, marking the beginning of her profound connection with veterinary medicine. Armed with knowledge and a passion for directing and managing people and as well as a passion for creative arts and making work fun, what started as a maternity leave cover at the front desk turned into a full-blown love affair with the world of veterinary care. And guess what? She never looked back!. 🐾✨
Starting with the front desk and soon taking a stint in every nook and cranny of the hospital, Stephanie decided to pursue life as a veterinary technician, courtesy of the AAHA DEVTP program. Stephanie dove head-first into the science of veterinary medicine. But where did her heart truly belong? Drumroll, please – the people side of the practice! She moved into dual roles managing the team and working with clients from exam rooms to the front desk. Fast forward 21 years, and Stephanie is sharing her knowledge and passion for team education, team culture, and management shenanigans with the industry as a consultant, speaker and author. She was the 2017 Founders Award winner and the 2023 Speaker of the Year at Uncharted Veterinary Conference.
A self-proclaimed vetmed nerd, Stephanie is the ultimate tech geek, especially when it comes to Practice Management Software. She loves helping practices wrangle their inventory management challenges into pure magic leveraging team training, home delivery and client education. Whether it's private practices or corporate wonders, from solo doctor gigs to seven-doctor extravaganzas, she's been there, rocked that. After 8 wonderful years as the Director of Community and Education at Uncharted Veterinary Conference, Stephanie is now exploring the next opportunity for her own professional leadership development! Stay tuned for what is next…
